For most of the game’s life, hacking and cheating were major issues with seemingly no end in sight. While it continues to be an issue, Activision launched its own anti-cheating system called Ricochet, which seemed to do the trick for a while, at least. Unfortunately, cheating in Warzone seems to have returned, as fans have been criticizing the technology for letting a new wave of hackers invade matches. In addition, fans have been running into all sorts of weird bugs, including the return of one that was a real plague on the game last year....

However, one recent issue has continued to plague Warzone players. Late last month, players began highlighting the oppressive sun glare that could occur on certain Warzone maps, essentially becoming blinding preventing players from accurately seeing their surroundings. While Raven has acknowledged issues with the glare and reflections, promising a fix sometime in the near future, the issues with it now have gotten progressively worse and is now shining in places it shouldn’t be able to....

Call of Duty: WW2 being the most anticipated game of holiday 2017 should come as no surprise. After all, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare tied with Battlefield 1 as the most anticipated game last year, and the year before that, Black Ops 3 beat out the mega popular Fallout 4 for the honor. Three other multi-platform games were named by Nielsen Game Rank, with Assassin’s Creed Origins right behind Call of Duty: WW2 in terms of popularity....

Responding to a fan on Twitter, Infinity Ward’s Joe Cecot confirmed that the developers are looking into a fix for the Rytec AMR reticle bug that could very well be released early next week. Presumably, this fix would be a part of Modern Warfare’s usual weekly update, which rolls out on Tuesdays. Cecot said that the fix will “hopefully” be coming next week, though, so there’s still a chance that fans may have to wait a little longer for the issue to be resolved....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the latest in a long-running series of primarily multiplayer first-person-shooter games that was released in August 2019. During the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 back in 2009, players who purchased the prestige edition of the game were able to get special edition night-vision goggles, which appears to be what Infinity Ward is trying to emulate for the release of the upcoming reboot. The goggles are confirmed to be working, so expect to pay a hefty price for a pair of these. In a special event held by Infinity Ward for media outlets, the developer showcased the goggles, which appears to be a modernized version of the one released a decade ago....

The two current dates running around are March 3 and March 10 because they both fall on Tuesday’s, which is when Infinity Ward usually updates Modern Warfare with new seasonal content. Out of these two dates, TheGamingRevolution – the leaker in question – believes that Warzone will release on March 10, rather than the third. It’s been confirmed by Smith that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players will be able to swap their weapon attachments on the fly mid-match. “Everybody scoffed at it when we first said we wanted to put it in, but it feels so good when you quickly change to a different attachment depending on the situation. Instant gratification!” By giving Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players the ability to customize their weapons in the middle of a match, it will allow players to better react to their enemies’ loadouts, and could make attachments play a much more important role in the new game than they have in the past....

Sony currently has an exclusivity deal with Activision to keep Modern Warfare’s Survival mode exclusive to PS4. This deal includes post-launch additions as well, with the official website for Modern Warfare saying, “…Each Modern Warfare season will bring a new location to Survival.” Further delving into the Modern Warfare website shows Survival currently has 4 available, but the website also lists 5 “Redacted” operations to come. If players look in the distance around southeast on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Gunfight Hill map, at around 150 degrees, they will notice one of many similar-looking white trees. By aiming at the tree closest to the edge of the cliff, players can see an outline of the Predator shimmering. This is an obvious reference to the Predator’s invisibility from the films, and is a neat nod to that franchise to say the least, especially considering Call of Duty’s past with the Predator....

On PS4, the Modern Warfare Season 6 file size will be about 20 GB. The Modern Warfare Season 6 start time is believed to be September 29 at 2am ET, so players won’t actually get to see the new content until then. Unfortunately for those on PC and Xbox One, it’s quite likely that the Modern Warfare Season 6 pre-load will be exclusive to PS4 players. These future updates will come in the form of patches or DLC like the Call of Duty: Vanguard Welgun SMG, providing the game with fresh content through new weapons, buffs, nerfs, and potentially new maps. Perhaps the biggest game-changer among these is added guns, as new guns can drastically change the competitive multiplayer meta. Call of Duty: Vanguard’s killstreaks have proven to be annoying for a number of reasons. In a video uploaded yesterday, Acez outlines a glitch to get infinite ammunition on any weapon that is able to use the “Akimbo” perk, essentially allowing players to dual wield guns at the expense of accuracy. When using Akimbo in Call of Duty: Warzone, Acez is able to unload the entire clip of their leftmost pistol without firing the other, swap it out with a weapon on the ground, and then pick the first gun up again with automatically reloaded ammo....
