Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer will be available come the game’s proper launch date, October 28. On that day, Call of Duty fans will be able to battle it out across a variety of maps and game modes. Activision recently highlighted all 11 game modes that will be available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer on launch day, though there are some notable omissions that might upset fans of the franchise....

The background for the situation has to do with a pre-order bonus announced for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Vault Edition. The pre-order bonus was said to be for 10 hours of Double XP tokens and 10 hours of Double Weapon XP tokens. These Modern Warfare 2 pre-orderers didn’t notice the fine print, however. The pre-order bonus was only available for those who purchased Modern Warfare 2 through the shops for Call of Duty: Vanguard, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare....

When Season 5 announced that Verdansk’s Airport would become a Ground War map, were cautious but excited. While the map is a well-known location from Warzone, many fans worried that simple graphical errors would remain present in the map’s port. Reddit user yp261 posted a screenshot of a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Message of the Day that promotes the PS4-exclusive Spec Ops Survival mode, even though they were playing on PC. Spec Ops Survival is a timed-PS4 exclusive that won’t be available to PC or Xbox One players until November 2020, which is something that has been met with significant backlash since it was announced. The post has over 1,000 upvotes and appears to be legitimate, though we didn’t see this particular Message of the Day when checking on Xbox One....

Of course, COD fans should still take everything with a grain of salt, but it’s hard to dismiss the evidence. First up, several retail employees have leaked pictures of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered game packaging, complete with plastic shrink-wrap. The leak comes from a piece of promotional art that Twitter leakers ZestyCODLeaks and Hydra9114 shared online. The piece of promotional art features three Operators prominently. The first, a woman sitting on a motorcycle, is named Anna Drake and is from Austria. Anna has two other Operators to her sides.
