The ISO SMG is based on the real-world Brugger & Thomet APC9, a PDW/SMG that recently won a contract to be adopted as the new SMG for the US Army. In real-world usage, it is meant to be a competitor to the MP5, but if it can topple the MP5 in Modern Warfare and Warzone is the main concern for most fans of the game. It has a quick rate of fire higher than the MP5 and lower than the Fennec, uses 9mm ammo just like the MP5, and has a very smooth, vertical recoil impulse....

The P90 FFS Ring Sight is an integrated red dot sight. It’s been discovered that when players are aiming down the scope with the P90, it causes a lens flare like when players are using sniper rifles. This doesn’t appear to be by design, and it puts players using the weapon and sight at a disadvantage. After all, it makes it significantly easier for enemy players to spot them, and so we would advise players against using this weapon and sight combo in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare until a fix is released....

Call of Duty: Vanguard will be bringing back Shi No Numa, with the Japanese swamp base serving as one of the three locations players teleport to from the Stalingrad hub area. Obviously, this provides a wave of nostalgia, with fans of Treyarch’s iconic mode having a special attachment to the area. Shi No Numa was the third Zombies map ever, so it is nice to see the storied location getting some love - though the Shi No Numa content should not stop with its cameo in Der Anfang....

In the lead-up to the launch of Caldera, a map set on a stunning Pacific Island, Call of Duty: Warzone developer Raven Software has released several screenshots that give fans a close look at the map’s aesthetic and some of its many points of interest. DMZ mode in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is a first for the Call of Duty franchise, but is increasingly common across other game releases. It’s akin to Escape from Tarkov, a squad-based multiplayer experience where players perform excursions to gather loot, battle enemy groups, and then escape. The rewards gathered each match can be carried over to future DMZ rounds, or can be permanently lost if defeated in battle....

Negative user reviews have flooded Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s Steam page as well as its various Metacritic listings. At the time of this writing, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has a “Mostly Negative” rating with over 7,600 users weighing in. Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s Metacritic user rating for the PC version is a mere 2.6, with 20 negative reviews versus just four positive reviews. The Metacritic page for the PS5 version is a similar story....

The problems highlighted by the map comparison are a lack of points of interest in Caldera and a startling amount of empty space. Plenty has been said about the lack of named locations in Caldera, with a fan recently coming up with their own points of interest that would make the battle royale map livelier. For comparison, Verdansk had 22 named areas for players to land at, loot, and fight in....

A thread on the Call of Duty: Warzone subreddit called attention to Season 4’s TTK recently, though it was neither the first nor likely the last to do so. The thread’s title asked other Redditors whether they feel like they’re being killed after “what feels like 3-4 shots?” Reddit user 070119 explains that they are dying after what sounds like 3-4 shots, which is incredibly fast. They say “it’s ridiculous” that they’re dying so fast, but are curious whether they’re the only one to experience the TTK issue....

Videos of the glitch have been circulating social media for a few days now. For many players, the glitch is something to laugh about, which makes sense. The trailer itself was uploaded to Call of Duty’s official YouTube channel and features a hilarious appearance by Barry Sloane’s incarnation of Captain John Price, which is fitting considering he’s the main Operator featured in Season 4. Before the trucks even started killing gamers without moving, many were calling for them to be removed from Call of Duty: Warzone — particularly in solo play. In recent weeks, a meta has formed where players get a cargo truck and wait until the final circle.
