The Modern Warfare 2 reveal trailer showcased many pertinent set pieces and rough plot elements for the game’s story, with many fans noting significant similarities to the original trilogy. Despite 2019’s Modern Warfare also being a reboot title, it seems that its upcoming sequel is doing more to encapsulate the same high-octane and over-the-top gameplay of the original games. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer co-design director Joe Cecot responded to a clip on Twitter of streamer ChainFeeds showing just how overpowered the 725 shotgun is. In the clip, a player using the 725 shotgun is able to kill ChainFeeds from a considerable distance, which typically wouldn’t be possible with shotguns in video games. Cecot replied to the clip with the eyeball emoji, indicating that the team is aware of the 725 shotgun complaints, and quite possibly hinting that a fix is on the way....

The specific patch note that’s causing Warzone players so much of a problem is as follows: “C4: Slight delay when performing a quick detonation. A beep will now play when quick detonation is triggered. Also reduced throw initial velocity by 30%.” The problem from the developer’s view was that too many players were using C4 in a way that was never really intended. Members of the Call of Duty: Warzone group on Reddit have shared a video from one such hacker, which shows the player gaining huge numbers of kills, and mocking the reactions of the innocent players.
