The new patch is available for all platforms. It renames the Border War skin in the shop, as well as fixes a major Warzone exploit that was essentially allowing Call of Duty players to cheat in the game. For the uninitiated, Warzone players discovered a way that they could choose their starting weapon in the battle royale. All they needed to do was drop their weapon at the last second before loading into a match, and then they would find it lying on the ground right where they left it. As of the latest update, this particular Warzone exploit will no longer be possible.

Meanwhile, the new update also fixes one of the many issues plaguing the Rytec AMR sniper rifle. For some reason, the Rytec AMR has been especially buggy since its introduction to the game, with Infinity Ward having already released some fixes for the issues the sniper has been dealing with. The latest Rytec AMR fix addresses the bug where shots were actually going above players’ crosshairs.

Later today, Call of Duty fans can expect another update for both Modern Warfare and Warzone that will change up the playlists. On the Warzone side of things, the update will bring back Plunder Trios, as well as prepare the game for the return of Warzone Rumble this weekend. Modern Warfare fans, meanwhile, will get a new Party Mode Mosh Pit playlist, as well as one that exclusively features the Cheshire Park and Shoot House multiplayer maps.

Those looking for more substantial Call of Duty updates should note that Warzone Season 5 is expected to start at some point in early August. Details on what exactly Warzone Season 5 will entail are unavailable at the time of this writing, but many fans believe it will include some major changes to the battle royale map. Fans will just have to wait and see to find out more.
