Call of Duty: Warzone’s Redeploy Balloons, as their name suggests, are ways to get around Caldera more easily. Spread throughout the map, players can ride a zipline to the top of the Redeploy Balloon before jumping off and using their parachute to reach a new part of the map. Having the option to reposition oneself is great, as players can escape the storm or rush to a new area to get some cash in Plunder. However, one Redditor has shown how to use the balloons as an attack strategy.

Reddit user and Call of Duty: Warzone player mugs_sgum shared a clip where they detail a trick regarding the Redeploy Balloon near the volcano base. If players ride this specific balloon and jump off at the right time, they can propel themselves forward like the DC hero Superman and move at an incredible speed. However, if they land at the Volcano base after flying, they will not die upon landing. Not only does mugs_sgum take no damage, but the Call of Duty: Warzone fan manages to get the drop on two enemies at the base.
The clip ends with the Redditor looking into the camera after the impressive display, and unsurprisingly, many were quick to see this as another Call of Duty: Warzone glitch. However, several commenters provided a different argument, and what they think happened makes sense. Apparently, since the Volcano base was not far enough below where the player leapt off the Redeploy Balloon, they took no fall damage. While the speed and distance surely would have killed them if they fell this way in real life, the game only deals fall damage if players drop from a certain height.
Going forward, those that enjoy fighting around Caldera’s Volcano may want to keep an eye on the Redeploy Balloon nearby. If this video goes viral, more Call of Duty: Warzone fans could try replicating the maneuver, hoping to pick up some flashy kills. Fortunately, this Superman trick likely will not work with other Redeploy Balloons, as most are high above other structures on Caldera.
It will be interesting to see how Raven Software responds to this trick, as technically there is nothing for the developer to patch. The Superman trick will only lead to kills in rare situations like what is shown in the clip, meaning it is basically harmless.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
