The game’s overall bugginess extends to the Call of Duty: Warzone menus, as a Battle Pass problem is stopping players from accessing the Seasonal unlocks. Obviously, this is a frustrating issue, so it helps to be aware of what it looks like and to know the workaround for such a problem when it occurs. Fortunately, footage of the issue and the way to get rid of it have been shared by the community online, so players should have no problem accessing the new cosmetics and weaponry of the Battle Pass.

Call of Duty: Warzone’s Battle Pass Bug and How To Fix It

As seen in the clip from Reddit user adub915, the player simply cannot access the Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2. Every time they switch tabs to examine the Battle Pass and get a clear look at its new additions, they are sent right back to the “play” section of the menu to find a match. The video shows this happening for several seconds, confirming that it is not a one-off occurrence. No matter how many times the player tries, the battle pass is simply inaccessible to them.

Fortunately, the comments of a post had a few solutions for the problem. One came from Reddit user j_skillz, and they share that the Season 2 Battle Pass works fine in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It will likely be fully functional in Call of Duty: Vanguard as well, though this does not help anyone that only plays the battle royale game. Fortunately, there is a solution that allows players to fix the problem within Call of Duty: Warzone itself, and it is extremely simple to do.

To solve the issue, Redditor myexkeepcallin shared that all Call of Duty: Warzone players need to do is press the skip celebration button as soon as the Battle Pass is opened. It seems like the problem is tied to the Battle Pass animation itself, so if it is skipped before players are thrown back to the “play” tab, they can effectively counter the bug before it occurs. Switching tabs as soon as the battle pass is opened will apparently work as well, so it could be worth trying if skipping the celebration does not do the trick.

With the bug supposedly being seen for over a year, though, hopefully Raven Software will find a fix for the issue soon. Otherwise, gamers will be stuck looking up answers online instead of collecting their Battle Pass rewards and having fun with the game.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
