Unfortunately for the Call of Duty: Warzone pro community and its community in general, cheating is somewhat rife within the game. Though developer Raven Software has made multiple changes to the way Call of Duty: Warzone attempts to deal with cheating, including its own Ricochet Anti-Cheat software, there are still famous cheats making their way into the game and ruining the experience for players. With cheating being so active in the game, some are looking at pros to see examples of cheating at play.

Call of Duty: Warzone pro “Shifty” has been repeatedly accused of hacking over the past few weeks. The accusations don’t just stem from members of the community though, and even former Call of Duty League pro “Blazt” weighed in on the situation, agreeing that “Shifty” deserves the accusations made against him. These accusations have recently hit a peak though, as a number of pros joined “Blazt” in reporting “Shifty’s” cheating during the “Caldera Challenge Qualifiers,” which has a prize pool of $100,000.

Considering that the there was around $15,000 up for grabs even in this early leg of the tournament, there’s plenty of money in Call of Duty: Warzone competitive events. This led to fans watching “Shifty” with an eagle eye, which in turn caused “Blazt” to capture his latest piece of evidence. This evidence was a suspicious clip of one of “Shifty’s” kills, where the player’s crosshair latches onto an enemy at long range. While good aim is to be expected of a pro player, for many this was beyond that, and seemed an indication of cheating.

While “Shifty” did not win the event, he did place third, racking up the highest K/D ratio in the tournament. While many have claimed “Shifty” is clearly cheating, the fact that he did not win the tournament is being labeled by some as evidence he did not cheat, while others such as CDL pro “Tommey” claimed that “Blazt’s” clip wasn’t sufficient evidence.
