Through their testing at Dam and Prison, DefendTheHouse discovered that sniper shots can travel a considerable distance on the Call of Duty: Warzone battle royale map and still be effective. Through hours of testing a variety of different snipers in Call of Duty: Warzone, DefendTheHouse came to the conclusion that the maximum range for any of the snipers in the game is about 2,400 meters. This is a considerable distance to say the least, and means some absolutely ridiculous long-distance sniper shots are technically possible in the game, though very unlikely to happen.

While attempting to determine Call of Duty: Warzone’s longest sniper shot, DefendTheHouse ran into some issues, like other players killing them and getting booted from the game for inactivity. Considering the frustrations, one has to wonder whether or not they will bother doing similar tests for other Call of Duty: Warzone weapons. One comment on the YouTube video suggests that they test Cluster Strikes next, but it remains to be seen whether or not that will happen.
There are some changes coming to the Call of Duty: Warzone battle royale map that could potentially lead to some interesting new testing opportunities as well. For example, Activision has been heavily teasing that Stadium will open up, possibly through an explosion of some kind. This will give players more interior locations to explore on the Warzone map, and who knows what else the Stadium may be hiding.
The other big change coming to the Warzone map, likely with next week’s Season 5 update, is a moving train. Similarly to how Activision has been teasing Stadium opening up, the company has also teased the possibility of a moving train, ala Apex Legends, being added to the Warzone battle royale map. One can only imagine the kinds of ridiculous trick shots that will be possible once the moving train is added to Warzone.
More information on Warzone Season 5 and exactly all it will entail should come to light early next week. For now, fans still have some time to grind out tiers for their Season 4 Battle Pass.
Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
