Some Call of Duty: Warzone players are reporting an issue with the Ghost perk since downloading the big Season 3 update. Even with both the Ghost perk and Cold Blooded both equipped, Call of Duty: Warzone players are claiming that they are showing up on heartbeat sensors, giving their locations away to enemies that wouldn’t otherwise be able to locate them. However, this Ghost perk bug in Call of Duty: Warzone appears to be rather inconsistent, as it’s not impacting players every match.

The problem was brought to light by Reddit user skk50, whose post about it has over 1,000 upvotes at the time of this writing. In their post, skk50 points out the inconsistent nature of the bug, as the Ghost perk still seems to be effectively hiding players from heartbeat sensors some of the time, so it’s unclear exactly what is causing this issue. However, it’s clear from the Reddit thread that skk50 is not alone.
While this Ghost perk bug in Call of Duty: Warzone is no doubt frustrating for players, on the bright side, it should get fixed sooner rather than later. Infinity Ward is typically pretty quick when it comes to fixing bugs in Warzone, and new updates are released for the game on a weekly basis. And now that the issue is getting a lot of attention on Reddit, one has to imagine that a fix for this problem will get priority.
There are still some lingering issues with Call of Duty that Infinity Ward has to fix, however. One of the big issues involves the UDT Ghost bundle for Xbox One players that pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. At the time of this writing, the UDT Ghost bundle is still unavailable for Xbox players, and a date for a possible fix has yet to be announced.
Hopefully this Ghost perk bug in Warzone will be fixed in a timelier manner than the UDT Ghost bundle glitch. In the meantime, fans should keep an eye on the Call of Duty: Warzone patch notes as Season 3 continues.
Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
