Call of Duty: Warzone has recently introduced the new Season 4 update, and while some bugs that had been troubling players were patched, issues have still slipped through the cracks. Since Call of Duty Season 2, shotgun slugs in Modern Warfare’s multiplayer were proven to be far more inaccurate than normal pellet ammunition. While developers at Infinity Ward spoke to fans and addressed the issue when it first presented itself, it still hasn’t been fixed and is drawing attention online once again.

One Reddit user experienced firsthand the inaccuracy of the VLK Rogue and uploaded a video to the social media platform. In the video, the player unloaded an entire clip of 12 Gauge Slugs at their opponent from point-blank range. The footage shows that while a few shots hit the target, most did not connect before the player using the VLK Rogue was killed. Shotguns in Call of Duty are typically a good matchup for close range encounters, but that was not the case for this Reddit user. The player’s problem wasn’t their aim — it was with the gun itself.

Many Warzone players responded to this video on the social media platform, bringing stories of similar happenings with the shotgun model. The VLK Rogue’s slugs struggle to hit opponents, and when they do make contact with the target, they have difficultly breaking through the armor in Warzone. A commenter by the screen name “Bla3k0ps” said that the shotguns with slugs don’t have a “spray circle with dot” which means that it is incredibly difficult to down an enemy with this specific shotgun model. Infinity Ward hasn’t commented recently on this issue.

Infinity Ward may have spoken about this issue when it was first discovered, but the developer hasn’t taken the steps needed to fix it in Call of Duty. When the player’s aim is true, the game shouldn’t be curving the bullets away from the target. Until changes are made, the VLK Rogue is basically unusable.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
