First and foremost, the Call of Duty: Warzone Intel missions are terribly bugged at the time of this writing. Players may visit the first Intel location (the TV Station) and collect the intel numerous times before it will actually register. Sometimes they will pick up the intel and while the option to collect it will disappear, the intel itself will stay completely visible in the game. Other times players will pick up the intel and it will look like they’ve successfully collected it, but the message from Ghost never plays and they won’t get credit once they finish their match.

This means that Call of Duty: Warzone players will often have to complete the same Intel mission multiple times just to get credit and be able to move on to the next one. New Intel missions are expected to be added on a weekly basis, so time is of the essence, and it can be frustrating for Warzone players with limited time to have to complete the same Intel missions repeatedly.

The other issue with Warzone Intel missions is that they only register for one player per squad in any given match. So if a team of four search out the Intel mission at the TV Station location on the Warzone map, only one of those players will actually be able to get it. This means that a team of four will have to land at TV Station four games in a row (minimum, depending on if it even registers for them) just so everyone can get credit and move on to the next mission.

The Intel missions provide something extra for Warzone players to do in matches, but in their current state, they are more frustrating than fun for many players. It would make sense for Infinity Ward to tweak it so everyone on a squad gets credit when collecting the intel, or at least let everyone on the squad collect it for themselves in one match. The bugs also need worked out, especially if these Intel missions are leading to the rumored Warzone map change.

For the uninitiated, there are rumors that a major Warzone map change is going to happen either as part of Season 4 or at the end of the season, and it will involve the nukes that are hidden in the bunkers. Whether or not that’s true remains to be seen, but we should find out within the next couple of months.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
