Although the Warzone gun glitch looks relatively interesting with the spikes and almost alien appearance, it is frustrating when it comes to trying to win the game. Recent evolutions in the game’s glitch have turned players into massive unstable spikey cubes, or ‘demons’ as the community is calling them, which are difficult to kill.

Fans and developers are unsure as to why this glitch is appearing. It seems that it is only occurring in Warzone lobbies but is not exclusive to any modes. The ‘demon’ glitch seems to be making an appearance across all game modes and even occurred in a live tournament hosted by Toronto Ultra. With $100k on the line, this was not the time for a glitch like this to appear.

The main issue with this glitch is that it is genuinely a game-breaking problem, as the box that appears hides the enemy player’s model making it impossible to know exactly where to shoot. On the glitched player’s screen, the gun’s fractal spasm takes up a massive chunk of their screen, restricting view and making it hard to know what is going on in the match. Often, players glitched this way are stuck, desperately trying to pick up any other non-glitched weapon.

The Warzone community has been talking about this glitch for days, and streamers are quickly getting frustrated with the bug while fans have figured out that the glitch only affects weapons with skins. Anytime players pick up weapons with skins, outside of buying a premade loadout, the skins become glitched and start to act out.

Infinity Ward is actively trying to repair the glitch starting with the patch that rolled out yesterday. Ashton Williams, senior communications manager, tweeted out that there are solutions coming. She laid out the two Warzone patches that are headed to all platforms that should fix this problem along with several other minor issues.

With hope on the horizon, players are left waiting for the implementation of the patches. Till then, simply avoid corrupted guns and try to wait out the storm of ‘demon’-infested lobbies. It should not be long before Infinity Ward’s patch ends the chaotic glitch fest and returns the game to playable status.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
