One of the latest bugs to make themselves apparent in Call of Duty: Warzone is, in fact, something that players have been asking for all along. Whereas many of the regular Call of Duty multiplayer features have made the transition over to Warzone over the past few weeks and months, one particular item has remained elusive up until now.

The feature in question is a genuine end-of-match killcam, pretty much the same as what Call of Duty players had come to know and love in the series’ previous multiplayer outings. This rare glitch isn’t nearly as annoying as Warzone disabling Modern Warfare weapon camos, for one, and its presence has even gotten some players to believe that killcams could be officially implemented into Warzone at some point in the future.
Compared to a variety of other bugs present in the game, the occasional presence of an unplanned killcam seems like a total non-issue, especially since some players have been asking for it for years at this point. In an extreme example of Warzone exploits, for example, PC players have recently begun removing recoil in Call of Duty: Warzone, turning their guns into laser blasters.
Of course, it’s worth remembering that there may be a Call of Duty: Warzone 2 in active development if rumors are to be believed. If true, this may mean that all current development of Warzone is being used as a testbed for future implementations in Warzone 2, though that’s pure conjecture at this point in time. Killcams, then, could be available from the very start in the next Warzone title.
As strange as it might be that there’s still no official killcam feature in Warzone, this could be the first sign that Raven Software is working on getting it up and running. Alternatively, it could also be just some leftover code from the game’s basic multiplayer roots. While there’s no way to tell whether killcams are actually coming in an official capacity, it is worth pointing out that this may be the same bug as was seen back in 2021, when the first Call of Duty Warzone killcams got recorded.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
