This is not the first time that a Call of Duty: Warzone bundle has been broken in a bad way. Recently, a Call of Duty: Warzone bundle was dubbed pay-to-lose, and for good reason. The skin from the bundle made weaponry entirely inaccurate, giving players no chance to hit their targets even if their reticle was placed directly on top of them. However, the Lunar New Year bundle’s bug is just as bad, as the Year of the Tiger content was completely crashing matches for those that attempted to use its items.

In particular, a blueprint for Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Stg 44 has seemingly been the source of the crashes. The gun is one of many that adds tracer fire to a weapon, which essentially highlights bullet trails in special colors. While many players love Tracer packs due to their unique effects, nobody wants to spend 1000 COD points on a flashy gun that has a high chance to crash their games. Following the problems that the weapon was causing, Raven Software posted an official update on its Twitter account that confirmed the bundle had been disabled.

It is worth noting that Raven Software is not disabling the bundle permanently, but “until further notice.” It is unclear how long it will take for the developer to solve the problems and add the bundle’s contents back to the game, though Raven’s Trello page confirms that the bugs are being investigated for all platforms. While players have seen their battle royale matches crashing due to the Krampus mini boss and failed attempts to stop Caldera’s train, a weapon’s tracer fire freezing Call of Duty: Warzone is a fresh problem.

Hopefully, the bug is fixed sooner rather than later, as a huge draw of the bundle is that it is themed around the Lunar New Year holiday. As such, players will obviously want to use it during Lunar New Year celebrations, so this bug happening with this particular bundle is unfortunate. Still, with several bugs and issues impacting Call of Duty: Warzone in recent weeks, something that led to the delay of Season 2, most players are likely not shocked that another problem has been encountered.

For now, all that Call of Duty: Warzone players with interest in the bundle can do is keep an eye on Raven’s Trello page. Until the issue is fixed, the game’s Lunar New Year celebration will unfortunately be on hold, with the bundle items being unusable for the time being.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
