Call of Duty: Warzone has had many particulars spoiled thanks to leaks. But still, none of these things are confirmed until Activision or Infinity Ward speaks on them, or until players are enjoying the game themselves.

One of those very important features is cross-play. Modern Warfare has cross-platform play and progression, and it is a fan-favorite feature. Warzone will follow in its footsteps and feature similar cross-play functionality. Infinity Ward has confirmed that players will be able to compete with and against soldiers on the battlefield on Xbox One, PS4, and PC as long as they have an Activision ID and account.
Along with being able to play on different platforms, one other important thing to note is that players on Modern Warfare will be able to play in the same lobbies with free-to-play Warzone players. There is no distinction between the two, just in case there were any concerns. Everyone has access to Warzone for free beginning on March 10, and everyone can play together.
Some may be unhappy with cross-play, as a test revealed recently that console players have the advantage over PC players in Modern Warfare. Among other things, some advantages have to do with players who are stunned, where PC players cannot move anywhere near as quickly as console players. On a large playing field like a battle royale, any advantage may seem unfair. These issues could be able to be fixed with updates, but at this point, it hasn’t been addressed.
The clock is ticking for Warzone, as fans have literally been waiting for over nine months since the battle royale was first leaked, but now they have less than a day to wait. There is even a countdown timer within Warzone to help prove the theory as to whether water does indeed boil slower if one stares at it.
Call of Duty: Warzone launches on March 10 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
