Infinity Ward has confirmed that the Warzone Plunder variant Blood Money is coming back to the game on Thursday, June 18. Why it’s not part of the June 16 playlist update that’s rolling out now hasn’t been clarified, but many fans will be happy to know exactly when they can expect a form of Plunder to be back in the game.

For those that may not know the difference, Blood Money is basically just a more action-packed version of Plunder that makes it even easier for players to amass large piles of cash. It’s a little bit more intense than the regular mode, so some Warzone fans may still be upset that the basic version of Plunder isn’t coming back yet, but Blood Money should still go a long way in satisfying those who are upset about Plunder being removed.
When Blood Money comes back to Warzone on June 18, it will be interesting to see if it takes the place of Warzone Rumble. Many fans have reacted negatively to Warzone Rumble in Warzone, so some may be frustrated that it’s seemingly staying in the game for the time being over Plunder. Perhaps Infinity Ward didn’t anticipate there to be such a negative reaction to Warzone Rumble, and so that’s why Blood Money isn’t coming back until later in the week.
Part of the reason why fans have responded so negatively to Warzone Rumble is likely due to it being put in the game in the place of Plunder and its variants. Infinity Ward has a tendency to add new content to Warzone and Modern Warfare by completely replacing existing, popular content in the game, which has resulted in fans almost immediately rejecting the new content.
But while fans may not always like what Infinity Ward adds to Warzone, the studio has shown that it is willing to listen to their complaints and adjust accordingly, hence why Blood Money is coming back before next week’s update. Warzone fans can look forward to the Plunder variant Blood Money to return to the battle royale on Thursday, June 18.
