The Call of Duty: Warzone meta has been in flux lately, after the Season 3 balance changes. However, many players have still voiced concerns over certain weapons seeming to dominate encounters consistently. Some players are also still concerned over the integration of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons into Call of Duty: Warzone, which has caused various issues since the new game launched.

The patch that came today doesn’t give many specifics on the changes players should expect, but it does give a tease at what is to come. It lists that the CR-56 AMAX, Bullfrog, and FARA 83 will all be receiving some tweaks. The news will likely be welcomed by the community, as the AMAX has begun dominating long-range encounters while many players have built close-range loadouts for the FARA 83 that have seen it acting as a powerful secondary weapon for Call of Duty: Warzone players. The FARA 83, in particular, is helped by how insanely fast Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons are able to ADS, helping players react quickly during close encounters.

Luckily, the patch will also decrease the ADS bonuses on all Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War attachments. This change will likely impact many player’s loadouts as using the game’s integrated assault rifles, as as the close-ranged secondaries have become increasingly popular. The patch notes do not include any mention of the Krig 6, which has also seen some powerful Call of Duty: Warzone loadouts, but there could also be many balance adjustments coming that the developers just haven’t mentioned yet.

The coming changes will mix up Call of Duty: Warzone’s meta significantly, and it is not completely clear what guns will take the highest use places. It is likely that if the FARA 83 receives a nerf that weakens its close-ranged lethality that the AK-47 will become players’ go-to as long as it also remains untouched.

For long-ranged encounters, it is likely that the AMAX getting worked on will lead to the Krig 6 rising even more in popularity. However, if the Krig 6 also gets nerfed, it is very likely that players will start gravitating more towards the older assault rifles such as the Kilo or M4A1. Of course, there is no way to know what is in store for the meta until the changes arrive, but until then players can continue enjoying all of the new content that came to Call of Duty: Warzone with Season 3.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
