Essentially the complete opposite of the PKM LMG, the main strength of the MG 82 is its best-in-class fire rate. It also has great range and accuracy, making up for its average damage output. Considering the gun’s role as a primary weapon, decent damage should not be a turnoff for players. Instead, they should unlock and level up the MG 82, taking advantage of all the other things that it does well.

The Best Build For Call of Duty: Warzone’s MG 82
The MG 82 is unlocked at tier 15 of the Season 4 battle pass, and once it has been acquired, players will want to start leveling the gun up immediately. The first attachment players will want is a high-level unlock, but given how much it improves the gun, it is an absolute must. The Agency Suppressor is the equivalent of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Monolothic Suppressor, as it gives players better range and bullet velocity. It also keeps them off the mini map, making it a must have.
Next up, Call of Duty: Warzone players should equip the Axial Arms 3x scope, as it is a perfect option for all the game’s long-range weaponry. For accuracy, the Field Agent Grip would be helpful, as it helps with recoil control for the bulky gun. Another important attachment is the 16.4” Task Force Barrel, as it provides an even bigger bullet velocity and range boost. Finally, players should equip a Fast Mag on the MG 82. While a larger 125 Rnd Mag could be used, going this route means that players will have brutal reload times. On top of this, LMGs like the MG 82 already have tons of ammo in each clip, making a larger bullet count wasteful. The faster version of the base magazine gets players back in the fight a lot quicker, and there is also no impact on ADS times.

How To Make Good Use Of Call of Duty: Warzone’s MG 82
Considering that the gun is built for range, players should only be using the MG 82 under the right circumstances. When in building interiors, for example, they should switch to their secondary weapon, with SMGs serving as a great contrast to the MG 82. As such, wielding something like the MP5 or the Bullfrog in the secondary slot is a good strategy, as an SMG can be pulled out when enemies are a bit too close for comfort,
At range, though, the MG 82 is at its best, with more open playing fields allowing the gun to truly shine. Here, players are always going to want to have it ready to go, so using the Amped perk that allows for faster weapon swapping would be wise. The Double Time perk is another good bet, as it counteracts the slow movement speed that comes with wielding a light machine gun. With these two abilities used, players should have no problem getting around Verdansk 84 quickly. Further, with the MG 82 being as strong as it is, gamers should be able to gun down their opponents with ease.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
