As a live service title, Warzone 2 is constantly being updated, which helps to reduce how long these bugs and glitches impact the experience, but considering how often the game changes, there are plenty of opportunities for issues to arise. While some are fairly harmless, such as one Warzone 2 bug that caused various objects on the map to have a rainbow glow, there have been plenty of examples where a match has ultimately been ruined due to a new game breaking bug.

Taking to the Call of Duty: Warzone 2 subReddit, a user named x0b0t posted a short clip of a match where an enemy player is downed during a match. The winning player then rushes to their location to perform an interrogation on them, which sends out a ping that highlights enemy players nearby. However, as the animation plays out, the enemy player seemingly escapes, crawls back and picks themselves up to take out the player still stuck in the interrogation animation. Normally, this animation locks both players in place, with the enemy player getting eliminated at the end.

The natural reaction to this bug was that their teammates finished a Most Wanted contract just as the animation began, which was able to pick up the player instantly. That theory was quickly debunked by x0b0t who confirmed this happened in Call of Duty’s DMZ mode, which does not have Most Wanted contracts. One theorized that they began the self-revive animation, which continued through the interrogation and finished at the same time, picking them up before they could be finished off by the animation. Either way, fans aren’t too thrilled at the prospect of another issue impacting a normal game mechanic.

With a delay to the start of Warzone 2’s second season, many players are hoping the extra time gave Infinity Ward a chance to nail down a few more issues. While fans continue to wait for the full patch notes ahead of the launch, Infinity Ward has been teasing numerous changes that are on the way including a few big features that completely alter how the game is played. This includes the removal of different sized backpacks as well as granting all Warzone 2 players access to 3-Plate Armor Vests at the very start.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
