The Modern Warfare XP glitch for Season 5 is very easy to pull off if players know where to go. All they need to do is go to the Season 5 Trials, and then choose the Shooting Range trial, which takes place on the Gunfight map Trench. Typically, players would want to shoot the targets in this trial as quickly as possible to try to get a 3-star rating. But instead of doing that, players should just run up the ramp and let the turrets kill them.

Even though players failed to shoot any target, it should glitch and reward them with 3 stars regardless and a ton of XP. Players can then keep repeating this trial to get a bunch of free XP for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 5, though we recommend turning on double XP tokens to maximize the glitch’s potential.

This weekend may be the best weekend to take advantage of this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare XP glitch because it will be double XP and double weapon XP in the game. The latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare double XP weekend lasts until August 10, so assuming Infinity Ward doesn’t patch this glitch, players could make out with a ton of XP and make significant progress in Season 5 in the process.

Infinity Ward is usually pretty quick to address issues like this, so it’s possible that this Modern Warfare XP glitch will be patched pretty quickly. In fact, just hours after Infinity Ward released the massive Modern Warfare Season 5 update, it released a smaller patch to address fan feedback about some changes that it made to the Warzone battle royale, namely its implementation of Juggernauts in the standard BR modes.

Besides bug fixes, Infinity Ward will be releasing many more updates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in the near future. The Modern Warfare Season 5 road map promises a slew of new content for the game in the weeks ahead, including the dual kodachi weapons, a new multiplayer Operator, the new King Slayer game mode for Warzone, and much more.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
