First off, the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update changes All or Nothing by allowing parties. Previously, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players could only play All or Nothing solo, so this is a pretty big change that could potentially convince more people to check out the game mode. In All or Nothing, players start the match with nothing but a throwing knife and have to scavenge for ammo by killing enemy players. It’s more of a party match type in the vein of One in the Chamber or Gun Game, so it’s nice that Infinity Ward is letting friends play together, even if it does lead to some potential cheating.

As for Warzone, the new update removes the uncommon and rare burst fire versions of the M4 assault rifle from the loot pool. Infinity Ward did not provide an explanation as to why this was done, but it seems likely that it was a decision made to better balance the game.

Looking ahead, the next big Modern Warfare update will likely come on Tuesday, January 30. What it will entail exactly remains to be seen, but the Season 4 road map does give fans a pretty decent idea of what to expect.

It’s also been teased that some big balance changes are coming to Modern Warfare in future, including one that will supposedly nerf the Grau. Infinity Ward has suggested that this update will come mid-season, so fans shouldn’t expect it to happen next week, but it should be available within the next month or so. The big mid-season update is also likely to add new maps, game modes, and more, so fans should stay tuned for more information on that front.

In the meantime, Warzone updates should still be released regularly as well, and they may be especially exciting in the coming months. Rumors have indicated that Activision plans on using Warzone to reveal Call of Duty 2020, so fans should definitely pay close attention to the battle royale’s patch notes.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
