As announced by Infinity Ward Sr Communications Manager Ashton Williams, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare January 22 update will add the new Crossbow weapon to the game. Players will have to complete a challenge if they want to unlock the Crossbow for their arsenal, though the exact nature of the challenge has yet to be revealed. In the meantime, the Modern Warfare January 22 update will also be addressing a couple of major player concerns.

Players have been asking Infinity Ward for more loadout slots for months now, and starting tomorrow, they will have five additional slots to work with when it comes to putting together their custom classes.

A few weeks ago, a bug caused player collision to be added to the game, with some thinking that Infinity Ward stealth-added it on purpose. Those who have been annoyed by the player collision will be happy to see it go after they download the MW January 22 update.
It’s quite likely that the Modern Warfare January 22 update will have more fixes and other minor things, but fans will have to wait for the full patch notes to be sure. Infinity Ward has typically updated the MW playlists on a weekly basis, but it may elect not to do so this week to give players the chance to play 3v3 Gunfight for a bit longer.
