The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare website leak includes the first good look at Simon “Ghost” Riley as he will appear in the game, in addition to a couple of other operators that players will be able to play as in the online multiplayer. We can also get a glimpse of a fancy new weapon blueprint and new operator skins. Luckily, these images were saved by Call of Duty news site Charlie Intel before they were removed from the official Call of Duty site.

The images also reveal two new weapons that are set to be added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with the Season 2 update. They include the Grau 5.56, which is described as “lightweight, maneuverable, and full of potential,” as well as the Striker 45 - a “hard hitting and long range SMG.” These weapons are labeled as “base” weapons, so it’s likely that they will just be added to everyone’s arsenal, though it’s also possible that players will have to complete challenges to unlock them.

Infinity Ward has both added weapons for everyone and has locked them behind challenges, so it could really go either way with the Modern Warfare Grau 5.56 and Striker 45 weapons. One weapon that was locked behind challenges was the recently-added Crossbow, which took a minimum of 25 matches to unlock. This steep requirement was met with a mixed reaction from the community, so it’s unclear if Infinity Ward will change things up moving forward.

As for when more details will come on what exactly fans can expect when Modern Warfare season 2 goes live on February 11, that has yet to be announced. However, it seems quite likely that more information will come on Monday, February 10, either through an Activision blog post or a trailer highlighting the new content.

Beyond what leaked on the Call of Duty website, we know that Modern Warfare Season 2 is adding the fan favorite Modern Warfare 2 map Rust. However, it’s unclear if it will be available on February 11, or if it’s coming later in the season. With Modern Warfare Season 2 starting on February 11, fans don’t have to wait too much longer to find out.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
