The meta in Call of Duty: Warzone changes rapidly. Not long ago, players were relying heavily on a fully kitted Grau to maximize damage in the massive battle royal. However, Infinity Ward recently nerfed this gun and increased its recoil. While the change wasn’t huge, it has impacted some players causing them to look for a new gun with less recoil than the updated Grau.

These constant updates change around the best guns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare regularly, so it’s a good idea to keep up with the patch notes. The Bruen MK9 LMG was added to the game in Season 3 and with the right attachments, it offers a steady shot and maximizes damage.

In the video, NICKMERCS detailed his new loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone and it features a devastating set up for the Bruen MK9 LMG. With the right attachments, the Bruen MK9 LMG offers very little vertical recoil which makes for a much more accurate shot. This feature partnered with the gun’s 60 Round Mags puts it in the conversation with most of the high-end assault rifles. Also, adding a Tac Laser to the gun improves the gun’s stability further as well as increasing the aim down sight speed. NICKMERCS is so confident in this new LMG set up that he is planning on using it in upcoming tournaments.

The Bruen MK9 LMG isn’t available to everyone right away, as players must first unlock the gun by completing a moderate challenge. To unlock the Bruen MK9 LMG, players have to get three kills with an LMG in 15 different matches while the enemy is near smoke. Alternatively, players can purchase a blueprint for the Bruen in the Encryption bundle in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare store.

The meta is Call of Duty: Warzone is changing all the time and while this new setup for the Bruen MK9 LMG is “overpowered” currently, there’s no telling if it will stay this way. It’s a good idea to utilize multiplayer playlists in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to unlock and level up different guns in the event those guns become the new “go-to” for Call of Duty pros. Also, even with the recommendation from a pro, there are plenty of other powerful loadouts for the Bruen MK9 LMG that could fit any player’s playstyle.

The Bruen MK9 LMG isn’t for everyone and there are plenty of viable guns that can still give players a huge upper hand in Call of Duty: Warzone. Regardless of how well someone is playing, Infinity Ward may ban players unexplainably from Call of Duty: Warzone, so it may be better to lay low throughout a few games and not chase high kill counts.

Call of Duty: Warzone is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
