The Call of Duty franchise is built on solid first-person shooter mechanics and online gameplay. The game now has a whole host of new perks, items, and game modes with this reboot. As a result, a player used a fresh perk in Modern Warfare with devastating results for their opponent.

The impressive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare gameplay shows a player noticing a well-placed claymore, through the Spotter perk, while running through a tunnel. The player then stops and begins to hack into the claymore and reverse its ability to hurt him and instead be used against the camper who has placed it. As soon as this hack is complete, the opposition sprints past, triggering the explosive and dying in a way that would have taken them by surprise. Many of the comments on Reddit expressed how rare this achievement was, and in terms of timing, this gameplay would be almost impossible to recreate.
While there are many ways to kill an opponent in Modern Warfare, this instance is comparable to some of the most difficult. It will be interesting to see if players can replicate this kind of kill, or whether they can hack a claymore in an even more shocking way. At the moment, it seems that this is the most impressive hack that has been seen since the Spotter perk was implemented, and to beat this, players may have to wait for new updates.
There seems to be plenty of content coming to Modern Warfare, and many will hope that the updates allow players to try new methods of taking out their opponents. Until further updates arrive, many players will look to this timely kill for inspiration.
