At any rate, this problem was highlighted in a recent video on the Modern Warfare subreddit by user sp77ky. The clip shows sp77ky playing on the Piccadilly multiplayer map when a player using the Ghost skin appears out of nowhere. This gives the Ghost player an easy kill, as they’re able to shoot and kill sp77ky before they even have the chance to react.

At the time of this writing, it’s unclear exactly what is causing the Modern Warfare invisibility glitch. Some have speculated that it’s connected to the Ghost Operator skin, whereas others have blamed server lag for the issue. Infinity Ward has yet to comment, so until then, all fans can do is speculate. However, there is a possibility that an issue with the Ghost skin is indeed causing some players to appear invisible at certain distances.

The reason some people think this is because this isn’t the first time that Modern Warfare has had a problem with invisible enemies. Back in January, it was discovered that the Dallas Empire Call of Duty League skin was making players invisible if they were a certain distance away from other players.

Then again, invisible enemies have been an issue in Modern Warfare before the problem with the Dallas Empire Call of Duty League skin was discovered. A clip that made the rounds a few months ago showed a Modern Warfare player getting killed by an invisible enemy on the Docks Gunfight map, that invisible enemy did not have the Dallas Empire Call of Duty League skin equipped. Considering this, it’s possible that there are a couple of different things that can cause players to appear invisible in Modern Warfare.

Regardless, Modern Warfare fans will no doubt be hoping for Infinity Ward to address this issue sooner rather than later so they can avoid suffering cheap deaths in the future.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
