When an observant Reddit user started changing their loadouts, they noticed a set of secret factors with the gun’s foregrip. These factors changed unexpected variables within the game like sprint speed, couching, and strafe ADS speeds. After some experimentation and careful note-taking, this Reddit fan has shared some interesting data.

In a video attached to the Reddit Post, the author explains their methodology and process. They also demonstrate the experiment in detail with several different foregrips on the main gun. The experiment was handled using the Grau, Holger-26 and base MP5. The base walking speed of the Grau is 15.03. There was a noticeable decrease in walking speed based on the grip used all averaging a percent. There was a noticeable increase when using the Merc foregrip of 3.73%.

The chart with the Reddit fan’s data continued to show the percent difference in speeds with different grips providing enough data to find a pattern. The speed increase for the Merc foregrip continued into sprinting but showed a decline when it came to ADS based movement. No matter which grip is used, there is a speed penalty to the ADS movement across the board.

Although the chart and video include information about Holder-26 and base MP5, the author decided to not finish the tests. This leaves fans with tons of information on the Grau, but only partially on the other weapons. No matter the case, all of the weapons tended to slow down in speed when equipped with a foregrip.

What makes this particularly interesting is that this change is not represented in the bar format used within the loadout menu. These hidden numbers impact the movement and ADS speeds of all weapons, but until now the exact amount was unknown. Although the change is only in a few percent, the percent could be vital to a player’s survival in Modern Warfare or Warzone.
