The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare April 28 update will be about 15GB on PS4 and Xbox One. Infinity Ward’s post about the update doesn’t include the file size for the PC version for some reason, but in any case, downloading the update will just be the first step in the process. Upon downloading the update, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players will then be brought to the game install menu when trying to start any of the game modes. At that point, they will be prompted to download Data Pack 1. Once that’s downloaded, Modern Warfare players will have to reset their game before they can start playing multiplayer.

As far as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare updates go, the April 28 update seems rather significant, as Infinity Ward rarely provides patch notes in advance. However, Infinity Ward has so far focused on the bug fixes that will be coming in the update as opposed to new content. It stated that these bug fixes are just a “sample” of what fans can expect from the new update, so it will be interesting to see what else it includes.

Most of the bug fixes and changes coming in the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare April 28 update focus on the standard Modern Warfare game, but a significant change for the Warzone battle royale is included as well. With this new update, Infinity Ward will be adjusting the speed and sizing of the circle in Warzone, which could turn out to be a major change depending on how it’s implemented.

More information about the next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update should become available once the update is live. It will be interesting to see if the update adds the rumored M249 SAW weapon to the game, or maybe add some of the Season 3 multiplayer maps that still have yet to be released. In the meantime, here are the patch notes that have been revealed by Infinity Ward so far:

Fix for a bug where PC players using a Vega64 GPU could see corrupted outlines around their character models and weapons. Fix for a bug where selecting the USEF 1 skin for the Mil-Sim Operator appears as the default skin in Co-op Adjusted the speed and sizing of the circle in Warzone Fix for a bug where completing the completionist challenges for the SKS are unlocking the associated camos for the Renetti Fix for a bug where unlocking camos for the SKS was inconsistent with other camo challenges for marksman rifles Fixed a bug where the “Hard Wired” skin for Alex would appear in thermals while Cold Blooded is equipped Fixed a bug where some watches were appearing the wrong direction when gesturing Fixed a bug where players could lose the option to pick their favorite Faction in the Operator menu Fixed a bug where white lighting could be seen while moving or firing a weapon near specific locations
